Matrix headlight activation is a software unlock — it requires that the physical Matrix LED hardware is already installed in your vehicle from the factory. If your vehicle was built without Matrix headlights, they cannot be activated through software alone. However, many vehicles that appear to have standard headlights from the outside are actually equipped with full Matrix hardware that is simply disabled. Send us your VIN and we will check your build data to confirm.

Our activations are performed using OEM-style diagnostic and programming methods — the same tools used by authorized dealers. No physical modifications are made to the vehicle. In general, software activations that unlock factory-installed features do not affect warranty coverage, as the changes are within the design parameters of the original hardware. That said, warranty decisions are ultimately at dealer discretion, and we recommend checking with your dealer if you have concerns about a specific feature.

If this happens, German Orbit can restore your activations remotely — typically in under 30 minutes.
